Literature Text

The tornado of destruction,
Tears a hole,
Between me and you.
Your weak mortality,
Will leave you powerless.

Yet why must I endure the bitterness,
Of seeing my beloved be crippled by nature,
While I am untouched?

Humanity, and our differences,
Are breaking through our chain of hope.
The darkness blankets all light happiness.
And I would give anything, just to swap places,
In the chain of life.

And as the immortals watch you die,
Amused at your lack of power against your pains,
You are slowly fading away.
Oh, why won't my family save you from your mortal suffering,
Instead of ignoring you so cruelly?
Are these beasts truly to whom I was borne?

But I know,
When the tornado of destruction hits you.
You will perish.
But I have inside my womb,
A child. Your child.
And she will be your daughter in every way...
And we will live in peace and happiness.
Because I love you. And nothing can take you away from me.

Well written. I like the title. It says a lot about the poem. Good job!
